WHO ARE YOU ?
I’m Baptiste Debombourg, artist
WHERE ARE YOU FROM ORIGINALLY?
I’m French, I come from south of France, I lived with my family 14 years out of the city in the wild mountains: the Pyrenees Orientals, as I like to say…
WHERE DO YOU LIVE RIGHT NOW?
I live in city of Paris and everywhere else when I’m invited to realize some project.
WHAT’S SPECIAL THERE?
Paris is a city and appears as a small village, so many mixed parts and types of ambiance, it’s a beautiful, historical city and at the same time an international meeting point where everybody around the world is travelling to – anyway it’s always good to meet in Paris!
WHAT’S YOUR CORE HUSTLE?
I consider my artistic pattern like a meeting vehicle, a way to link sectors that usually ignore each other, the so-called “noble” and “popular” cultures for example. For me it is also a way to examine the position and the function of the current art.
Collaboration with artists, fashion, private company... one aim, research and overcome!
HOW DID YOU START?
I never said I started because I’m working eversince… just trying to push my dream!
WHAT DRIVES YOU?
Passion to discover and share others passions.

Marx (sculpture): In collaboration with the artist David Marin, Marx’s work is a plastic supermarket bag completely covered in gold leaf. This work entitled “Marx”, questions through a cynical beauty this capitalism hyperbole: attraction and rejection, jewel or detritus. It’s a performance as derision.
MOST INSPIRING PLACE YOU’VE BEEN?
Sarajevo – most interesting place in Europe actually and historical center in Europe!
WHICH CREATIVE KEEPS ON SURPRISING YOU?

WEIRDEST THING YOU OWN? CAN YOU SHOW US?
I have a Traine Cul Surprise car ! Traine Cul Surprise is a race concept with half cars. Rémy Julienne and Germain Tison, famous stunt men, invented a vehicle in order to accomplish cinematic stunts: for example “A View To A Kill” the John Glenn’s James Bond 1985; they obtained later the patent for their invention. This concept has been reused by passionate people who decided to create a race competition: the “Traine Cul Surprise”: a race concept with half cars. Translation = the surprise ass that crawls on the ground. To drive a TCS is very funny and it gives you a lot of sensation because the car is very short, light and nervous, better than a Porsche sensation, trust me! Since 2008 I’m working on a movie in collaboration with Antoine Melchior, my brother... in the sphere of the people who made race Traine Cul Surprise trailers.
